What drew you into becoming a fanboi/gurl?

For me, it was the artwork. Love the style.

I love the story! It's well thought through and doesn't have crazy relationship jumps where the main characters meet on the street and then the same night wind up sleeping together. ^^; It's refreshing to find a comic like this, that isn't created to just be smut.

The artwork is beautiful and unique as well which was also a plus! Very Happy

:3 The art drew me in... The boy-luv kept me coming. And the charmingly accurate representation of school-life (where cliques exist, but do not control everything), with characters that have animated personalities that are easy to believe....

And I happened to start reading shortly before Josh kissed Metis... *squeals*

I would have to say the art really drew me in and then the characters, I absolutely love them! Finally the realistic boy love story. Like someone said, Metis and Josh didn't just meet each other and than WHAM BAM POP they slept with each other and fell in love.

Really, HoneySyn is breath of fresh air and thats why I get excited every week for a new page! Very Happy

Because I had to reread it six times right after reading it for the first time. I mean, like.. RIGHT after (besides the "OHMIGOD THIS THING IS SO HELLISHLY CUTE." comment.)

1. Metis fails. And I have never met a uke that failed so bad before/since Metis.
2. Josh fails. And I have never met a seme that failed so bad before/since osh.
3. Charles pwns. And I have never met a man that pwned more than Charles.
4. The pairings actually WORK. In a fail-ish way that excludes the "inexplicable feeling of lurve" working. Because they work so well. And come on. Jock/emo fic that works.

...And the art is luff. I mean... the disappearing phantasmic books/wristbands? Win. (and the hands. I have so much trouble drawing hands, it's not even funny anymore.)

I can't think back and figure out what drew me in. I just read one of Dual's posts on lj and after reading her ranting a bit, decided I should check it out and see what its all about... ^^;

Needless to say, I'm still here, and I'm nearly obsessing about HoneySyn. My friends just might decide they're sick of it and abandon me sometime. Just to get me to shut up.

I love the art. And the story. And the dialogue, too. Like, a lot. :heart:

...and now I'm one of them people who trudge through the week waiting for the next update to come on Saturday evening, wish that Saturday would come faster, read the one page, squeel uncontrollably, and make my entire family (if they're anywhere near-by) ask "What's she on?!", and then repeat the entire thing. And I love every second of it (Except for the waiting. I hate the waiting.)

I think what drew me in to begin with was definately the first five pages. I fucking love that within those few pages the main character gets decked. I laugh every time I think about it. Honestly, that is the most amazing openning I have ever read in my life.

What kept me reading? Definately the art... I love the flowing style and the wicked shading >w< It's so full of love! I also love the design of each of the characters.... Second of all I always love the interaction between the characters. I can totally see myself reacting the same way they do.

Nuu posted something on the gaia picture post from the comic. I don't quite remember the picture, but I remember being interested in the comic. Thus, I clicked the banner in her signature. Upon reading it, I think May and Charles keep me interested. Not as a pairing, just in the they remind me of myself and my friend way. Then I started liking the Josh May pairing, and yeah, I'm hooked. XD

It was possibly... the wonderful colour of the header on the site. XDD It's like the one on this site, such a lovely green. :D
But then I was addicted as soon as I saw the beautiful art. Also, the characters. Great, realistic characters, with realistic relationships!! Well, not completely, but it does feel as if JoshxMetis could work in real life. If they were real people. Which they were in my (not pervy) dream last night. Yep. (I kid you not, they actually looked pretty awesome as real people.)
So... yeah. Every Saturday at 1 in the morning, here I am. xD

^^ I actually found it on Smack Jeeves. It confused the hell out of me at first but then I re-read it and got hooked. I love the story and the art. <3 The humor is great, too.

Actually I found a link to HoneySyn from another site, and I`ve been hooked since. The art is lovely and the story even better. The characters are wonderful and realistic. Before I knew about it, I`ve always thought what if someone would make a story like this? Well Nuu has and it has gone completely pass my expectations. It`s even better than I imagined! Very Happy

I was looking for slash and stumbeled upon the GreyArchive (I keep loosing the url for it), which is a fanfiction slash archive dedicated to rare pairings. It has a webcomic page, so I checked that out and one of the first link banners was for HoneySyn. I clicked on it and then started to read the comic.

I didn't really like the art (but Nuu has improved GREATLY =D) but just because I didn't like the art didn't mean I couldn't read it, and with Metis' creepy smile on the 2sd page is what kept me reading. What has kept me to HS is the humor and my own desier that May and Josh should be together.

And the fact that I started reading the week Nuu put up the first page of chapter 4 may have had something to do with it. Gotta love Mintos and Cola.
