What do you listen to?

Me, a lot. Mm... Fiona Apple (love herrr <3), L'Arc~en~ciel/Hyde (melts, his voice is so awesome), CLAZZIQUAI Project, classic Michael Jackson (think Billie Jean), and a ton of other stuff. Oh, and if you haven't heard of Clazziquai, you should check them out. They're Korean. They are love!

I forgot to mention this the first time, so I'll add it now. I called the thread "obligatory" because it seems every forum has a "wow everyone listens to music" thread. But also because whenever you listen to a song by L'Arc~en~ciel it seems that there is ALWAYS a guitar solo by Ken. ALWAYS. So I refer to it as the obligatory guitar solo and it amuses me. I'm easily amused... >.>

I like to listen to differnt styles. Everyone in my family listens to something different so I have a taste for almost everything except country. I don`t know why, but i could never get into country. My top three bands are Mindless Self Indulgence, Radiohead, and Maximum the Hormone. 8D

Ambient (Techno) and Heavy Rock(Mostly J-Rock).
I listen to really everything, but those are the two I am alllllll over.

Thought I might choose some favourite artists on the character page to make this easier for myself (turned out to be white stripes, miles davis and OkGo- weren't the unicorns on there at some point?) but that is an incredibly minor side to my music tastes and would give a false impression Confused

Yeah... I tend to like main steam bands the most, but that doesn't mean I don't like underground from time to time. Also, once it's one of my favs, it's a fav for life so a lot of my favs are old bands *w*!!!

o_o hahaha I just noticed how my music goes from screamo to rock to emo to popish to rap o,o;;;; i told you I love everything...

I go for the "Charles" approach, and get whatever bands my friends give me--which tend to be towards the "rock" genres. Razz

But occasionally, I'll discover something by myself. like THE DRESDEN DOLLS X3.

I don't really stick to one genre... I'll find someone I like the sound of [whether it be English, Japanese, Classical, etc.], and listen to them... then someone else, and I'll listen to them. I guess I'm pretty ADD with my music, actually.

My list of favorite music is insanely long. And I don't even know half of what I listen to most of the time. So, to keep it short and (kinda) simple, here I go.

Genres: Rock, metal, pretty-much-anything-with-a-guitar. Stuck listening to country and rap because of my sister, but I don't much like either. Whatever my friends send me, burn me, make me listen to.

Bands: Miyavi, Dir en Grey, AnCafe, the GazettE, S.K.I.N., The Dresden Dolls, Alanis Morisette, KoRn, Metallica, Linkin Park, tons others that I can't remember.

Lessee... I absolutely love rock, but most of the time I can't tolerate hardcore screaming stuff and all that. Laruku, HYDE, Malice Mizer, D'espairsRay, Nickelback, and Evanescence top my list. I dislike most mainstream artists *cough Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Paramore cough* but I don't mind mainstream J-rock and visual kei.

And Mistula. If you don't know them, I suggest you go to http://mistula.com. They're like... the BEST VIRTUAL BAND EVAAAR. And they're BJDs. Yes. BJDs.

I hate like rap music because most of its lyrics don't make sense to me but if I find anything sensible -- which is rare -- I do listen to it. Rap metal though is another thing. xD

Just about everything for me (I'm not much for rap though I do make exceptions.), I tend to gravitate towards rock and alternative. Stuff like Cute is What We Aim For and Panic at the Disco. I'm also crazy about Musicals. Hairspray, Wicked, Sweeney Todd. All that awesomeness.

I listen to everything. I try not to stick to one genre, 'cause thats silly. But I have everything from Christina Aguilera, CKY, John Mayer to NOFX and a whole lot more I can't be bothered to name right now. Smile
