(( he made one actually. It wasn't really a cake though... more like a big plate with chiken breast in the middle surrounded by liver... with a huge candle stuck in it... He didn't light the candle though because he was afraid the cat would get burned XD )) _________________ I've always found paranoia to be a perfectly defensible position...

I wish I could say I was back in business, but things have gotten really busy for me and I can only post so much on the forums now in so little time...
Sorry guys, but I'm on temporary hiatus from this roleplay.

[ back from the dead...ish. and i noticed that
some of you have dissappeared. if you guys are done with
this roleplay, then just ignore this. -- well, acknowledge
it somewhat, but...well, you know.
this was what i was planning to input into the RP
but never actually finished until today. sad, i know.
anyway, if you guys wanna interact with him, Sorin
will be glad to socialize. i think.
here's what i've written so far. it's not a lot, but
it's something. ]
-----------------------------------
The white curtains fluttered upwards as the wind blew gently through his opened window and despite the fact that the low whistling of the wind reached his ears, along with the unfortunate fact that his bed was directly situated under the harsh rays of sunlight, Sorin remained unperturbed. His toned body lay in a deep slumber under the mess that were his sheets, with his right arm thrown over his eyes. His breathing was deep and slow and it was quite easy to guess that his exhaustion was being elimininated by his peaceful sleep. He most definitely deserved this time to himself, in his partially darkened room. He'd returned from Switzerland the night before, settled his older sister into her bed and headed off to his own, completely forgetting that he was still seventeen years-old and a senior in high school.
That bit had totally slipped his mind.
Unconsciously, he turned over on his mattress, his head facing away from the rays of sunlight. He was so at ease, so untouchable where he was; laying innocently, undisturbed.
"Sorin! Sorin!"
One perfect amber eye cracked open at the shrill female voice. The second one quickly opened also, and Sorin's body bolted upright. Throwing over his sheets, he gracefully stepped out of the bed, clad in only a pair of light blue boxers. In a few strides he was at the door, and was out dashing through the long hallways of his home. He took a right and ran up two stairs at a time, throwing the door ahead of him open. His eyes settled on his older sister's stiff figure, sitting upright in her bed, her long blond hair falling around her body. Her amber eyes were wide with fright and were looking around in a panicked manner.
"Sorin!" He wasted no time rushing to her side, speaking to her in a hushed manner so as to placate her fears. He was there with her. He would never leave her side.
"You...I thought you'd left. I was scared," she told him, her face in the crook of his neck. Sorin rubbed her back gently. Of course she wouldn't have adjusted to her new surroundings immediately, even though this was her real home. Despite him having tucked her in the night before, after conversing with her about everything under the clear blue sky, she hadn't recalled him leaving her to go to his own room. She hadn't remembered and she hadn't recognized anything around; hadn't heard the familiar street sounds she'd grown accustomed to in Switzerland and hadn't heard Sorin's usual greeting. She couldn't have known. Sorin knew this.
She was blind after all.
"Hey, don't worry about it Ev. I'm here," he said, his voice holding a deep, cool tone. She sighed in relief; a familiar person. "Yeah. I know. I sort of forgot where I was and well..." she said. She sounded as if she was angry at herself.
"Now don't you go being all angry with yourself; you can't help how you are Ev." he said, pulling back from her. His face was pulled into a frown and a few strands of his hair had fallen over his left eye. Laughing despite herself, Ev pushed away his hair and kissed his forehead. "Thank you, little brother."
This remained in each other's embrace for a long moment. "Sorin...don't you have school?" Ev asked after a while. Sorin jumped up in response and looked around for anything that could indicate to him what time it was. It took him a moment to realize what he was doing. Why the hell was he looking for a clock in Ev's room? His blind sister?
With a groan, he turned to run out of her bedroom, but skidded to a halt before he could step out. "Um, I'm gonna go get ready okay?"
She smiled and nodded in his direction, "You should hurry though. I'm sure it's much later than you think, little brother."
Cursing under his breath - Ev was probably right - he turned back and ran to his room.
----------------------------------------------------
Hands tightening around the wheel, Sorin sighed and leaned his head forward, a few centimeters away from the wheel. His hair fell foward with his movements, gently taking place over his now closed eyelids. He knew that what he was doing could probably lead to making his morning a lot worse than it already was; well, not worse, but then again, not better.
Despite that, he couldn't find the energy to stay alert to the possibility that the traffic would lessen and he would finally -finally- get to school.
"Damn it all to hell," he muttered without really meaning it. He'd already missed a lot more of his classes than he'd wanted to - not that he'd wanted to. It wasn't really the kind of homecoming he'd hoped for.
"Get to school looking amazing and refreshed, like you're so damn amazing, Sorin. That'll make people talk." his sister had said on their flight back home. Sorin had only rolled his eyes at her. He didn't particularly care for what anyone thought, save for a few people. Not many, though.
But, he had wanted to be at school - on time - on his first day back. He sighed. "Maybe the next time I come back from Switzerland."
It took him another half-hour for him to get to school. At that point, he was sure classes were over. He was surprised, though, that there weren't any students leaving the building as he parked his car. He walked up to the main entrance, pulled at one of the glass doors and entered. The halls were quiet.
He reasoned that there was no point in him actually going to class. 'Might as well just ask for my homework and then head home.' Quietly making his way through the hallways, his hands shoved into the pockets of his baggy jeans, Sorin took in the scenery that was his high school. He'd been here for so long, knew nearly everything that was to know about the
place. And he was soon going to leave it all. This was his senior year. He held back a sigh. There was just so much to do.
Turning another corner, he neared the nurse's office which was just a few feet away from his homeroom. Usually, he didn't like walking by there. There were...odd people in his school. And not just the students. The faculty too. And although he could accept most weird things...the nurse, or doctor - he wasn't really sure what the guy wanted to be called since he avoided any form of contact with him - was definitely...unique. Nothing about him was terrible or anything. Sorin just felt weird around him. And the rest of the people were just people. Strange and witty; interesting and hilarious. Yes, he would miss this place.
He was a few feet away from the slightly opened door of the nurse's office and was debating on wether or not to glance in. Would he regret it? He thought that maybe he would, but shrugged and decided to do it. In the few seconds that he passed directly in front of the opening, his amber eyes darting to his left, he caught a glimpse of someone - no. Three, maybe four someones. But all he could recall as he continued down the hallway was his eyes' brief meeting with an earthy-brown gaze. Hmm...he hadn't seen that kid around before.
Running one hand quickly through his hair, he walked some more before reaching his homeroom and knocking on the door.
