| The storyline was what attracted my attention. ^^; I saw the more central characters in the form of Josh and Metis and was like, "... GEE. I NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF A PAIRING LIKE THAT." And then I read it, and by the time I got to the part where Josh had just found Metis in the theater, I was clicking the next button repeatedly craving more. I absolutely love the characters, too. <3 They hit highschool stereotypes while, at the same time, being amazingly unique and realistic.

| I know what you mean! Though I don't really understand the stereotypes as my school doesn't have them... It's odd because our principal is trying to give birth to them, she started pep rallies. Our school went 50 years, without them and on the 52nd year she starts them!

I found icons of it and the art is so gorgeous. I had to check it out.
So, at first it was the art. Then I just loved the characters and how they captured the stereo-types for emo and jock personalities. The stereo-types are just so...ugh. And the labeling's a pain too. For me it is. So it's a relief to see something that makes fun of it and shows how bad they've gotten.

| I found Honey Syn when looking for slash webcomics, and fell in total love. I especially like Charles and Metis, because even though I got in this for the boy love, best friends like Charles and Metis make me melt into goo.

Actually, I found this comic when it was starting out ,I think, on Smack Jeeves, and it art work really stood out cmpared to all the others. plus it had a really good plotline. The snide reamrks were a plus. Though boy love wasn't really my thing until I read a few more comics on Smack Jeeves.
And I almost forgot all the high schools cliches. I really like them they seem so imaginary to me, becuase the school I go to doesn't really have cliches, well we do, but not the way you normally think of them. It's divivded by race. not that's the scholl's racist or anything, but it
's a borading school out in the midde of Kentucky, so ton of internationals and town people go there and it's easier to make a friend if you can fluently speak their language. Sorry, got into a bit of a rant there

I think I found it on a site called Michi~Michi or something.
What drawed me to it, was the drawing.
It was so pretty, so when I started reading, I was like, addicted.
The story line is seriously, one of the best.
I absolutely loveeeee it.
It's my new obsession (:

I was reading this one online manga called sugar stars, which hadn't updated in ever, so I ended up looking for a new one on the place where her manga was voted, and found honeysyn down the line...
I read it all in one sitting X3 and have been for a while. I came at the part where charles was complaining that metis didn't do jack at the stage crew XP

I admit, I was looking for shounen-ai specifically. But I'm a little picky, so I also wanted good art (a must) and a real story line, not just some random BS where the characters fall in love 2 days after meeting each other. Also, I didn't want something that was completely squishy gushy love...
HS fulfills everything i wanted!!!! Real story line, realistic characters, wonderful art (I'm studying it so i can learn to draw, although of course I will develop my own style), and real romance/hotness. They're not girly men, but they're not only horny all the time either; it's a balance!
so nice ^^ perfect shounen-ai! I ordered a copy of the first volume and I intend to get all the subsequent ones ^^

Metis having a bookshelf fall on him.. Dude, what would be more awesome than that? <3
Haha. The art, the characters, the sense of humour.. Perfect.

| I found it on aarinfantasy too. Was just kinda cruisin and then I came across it and thought "wtf does THAT name mean? Let's check it out..." and then I saw Metis, thought he was so delightfully adorable that I kept checking back til it was put on smackjeeves then was finally led here!

Haha. I had originally never heard of the comic until a few months ago, when, on the lj comm Fandom Secrets there was an abundance of secrets ranking on it. So, having free time one night, I searched comments trying to find out the name of the story and wound up googling it... and fell in love.
I don't know what drew me in. It was a lot of things, I suppouse. The story line, the characters, the artwork. They all wound up getting me addicted

I started reading the comic because uh... Well I really can't remember why. Maybe because it was on Xephernet.
I kept reading it because it's well-written. Usually BL comics + "well written" = don't exist. So this one was likely a keeper. NOT TO MENTION the intro, which makes you keep reading anyhow.
Anyway, somewhere around the car scene I realized "holy crap this is awesome" and kept reading. Yeah, I love it when comics suddenly beat you in the face with awesome.

I came in by accident, and a wonderful accident at that!
The art style is what pulled me in in the first place. The plot is engaging (a punch in the face by the first chapter already? Wow), and Metis' internal dialogue is sometimes fun. I can relate to his "malicious at heart" thing.
Did I mention that Josh is my favorite character? On the scene where Josh is waiting for Metis at the station I already said to myself, "Man, it would suck if these two didn't end up together!"
In short, I love the storytelling, the characters, and the art style. I guess I'm just more into realistic fiction. Not that I don't like fantasy.

IDK, my BFF Nicole.
Actually no... I was into Smackjeeves at the time it was being posted there, and I really like the art style (and teh gay) so I read it. Loyal fan to this day.
