Rem was awesome. I luffled her.
I thought that Misa was humorous to watch- she was just so oblivious. (Then again, Takada wasn't much better. She just had slightly more tact.)

Every important female in the series was in some way manipulated by Light, including Rem. I can't say much about Rem without giving away a part of the series.
Gah, it's hard not to give stuff away.XD
And if you haven't already, I highly suggest reading the manga. A lot of the second half of the series is cut out in the anime. For one, Matt has like. . .two other scenes. A lot of happens with Mikami. And there's a scene with the American President (I haven't read that part yet XD)

He didn't manipulate Mikami in my opinion. O_o I think Mikami came already nutso. He had that whole "justice!!!" concept as a child. I think Light/Kira was his scapegoat. But everybody in that show was somewhat crazy XD Except like a few of the policemen.
